2020 Year In Review

Well what a year that was!? The Ageing Sea survived it’s 4th year in business and we have been on a slow growth trajectory throughout a very turbulent year.

We welcomed a bunch of wonderful new clients into the big blue’s warm salty embrace and we’re grateful to all our long standing clients who have been working with us since our inception. 2020 wouldn’t have been possible without all our wonderful staff also.

Naturally, we’ve had our ups and downs having to relocate our office and home school – let’s just say we have a strengthened respect for our teachers and more importantly the millions of health care workers still slogging it out 12 months on. Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to for the last 12 months.


Haynes Group ‘In The Know’ Lifesaving Commitments Videos

We started the year off finalising a series of safety videos for Haynes’ Lifesaving Commitments presenting 4 Key Risks across their 7 business units. The Ageing Sea planned, produced and directed the series in collaboration with copywriters, designers, voice over artists, sound engineers, animators along with the marketing and safety teams at Haynes in Brisbane and Mackay. 



Solid Ground Roasters Packaging Design

In the last quarter of 2019 our friends approached us to assist them to create a coffee brand that would reflect their values and how that would translate across the business and connect with their partners, SunnyKids. In January we finalised the brand identity and tagline for Solid Ground Roasters and swiftly commenced packaging design for the coffee bags and take away cups.


UP Private Wealth Corporate Profile Brochure

Having recently updated the UP Private Wealth’s brand the big blue were asked to translate their existing website into a simple print communication piece for as a take away for client meetings and presentations. We designed a 6 page gatefold brochure focusing on their values, processes and services.


Sodexo MyWay App Design

We were approached by Sodexo’s digital marketing team to assist with updating page designs for their MyWay App. The MyWay app is designed to communicate news, updates and events and also to promote and sell products online to their remote working communities while on on-site. We’ve signed an NDA so we can’t share the creative with you sorry.

Soundtrails Brand Development, App Design and Marketing Collateral

The Ageing Sea teamed up with The Story Project including award-winning sound designer Hamish Sewell and Co-Creations to redesign the Soundtrails brand. Our team designed a fresh, contemporary brand identity and accompanying elements to communicate the tech products immersive audio experience. Working closely with the Co Creations development team we also reviewed the smart phone app page layout and functionality, translating the new brand elements into a new user interface (UI).

We also designed the accompanying promotion collateral suitable for regional council co-branding and documented within a comprehensive style guide for future collaborations. Look for the Soundtrails brand collateral in regional towns Australia wide. Soundtrails smart phone app will relaunch in early 2021.

Property Lane Print Design

We reached out to old friends Property Lane Realty in Woombye to see if we could provide support an assistance with unifying their brand and print collateral. We were commissioned to update their brand style guide and create a sales brochure templates for ongoing use internally.


Legion Energy Advertising Creative

Custom Supplements produce a large range for supplements products for wholesale clients and they recently approached us to assist with creative support on their Legion Energy brand which they have developed from the ground up. The Ageing Sea were approached to assist with updating the Legion Energy brand including conducting qualitive online customer research, developing a their brand purpose (why, how, what), updating the identity and developing a suite of advertising creative concepts for various flavours products across digital and print media.


Linc Furniture Safehook Landing Page and Website Redesign

We connected with storage solutions manufacturer Linc Furniture Australia designers and producers of innovative bag and hat hooks for the education industry among many others. The Ageing Sea were engaged to redesign Safehook advertising landing pages to better support their digital advertising. We redesigned and rewrote the landing page to simplify the layout to make it easier for their audience to navigate and help with search engine performance. Once the home and landing pages were completed we applied the same brand style and language to their existing print and digital collateral including brochures, flyers and animated digital banner ads.

Sodexo My Village ‘Click and Collect’ Launch Collateral

Sodexo briefed The Ageing Sea to develop creative for a new point of sale campaign to promote a new features for their MyWay App which allows village residents to order food and collect. The brief included requirements for a new campaign identity along with collateral for various touch points including drink coasters, table talkers, collection signage and in-app digital advertising.

Solid Ground Roasters Launch

Solid Ground Roasters were gearing up for their (brand) launch event in early July and we were briefed with a list of deliverables to roll out across multiple touch points including distribution through cafes (bags, cups, umbrellas, breeze barriers), online sales (ecommerce website, social media, blog content) wholesale (brochure, proposals) and delivery (vehicle wrap).

Once all the collateral was printed we then planned, produced and directed a (content) photography shoot capturing the brand in the natural earthy tones of Buderim and its surrounds. The Ageing Sea designed and developed an ecommerce website on the Shopify platform which included page design, copywriting and selecting relative photography, supporting iconography and customising the selection theme. We also installed apps to assist with monthly coffee subscriptions and calculating shipping via AusPost.

Once live and tested we assisted writing the media release which was distributed by the client to various media outlets and key contacts of SunnyKids and we produced supporting launch postcards and creative for social media including stories, highlights graphics and a style guide for social media partners.


Notorious EAT Food Truck Wrap

Notorious EAT approached The Ageing Sea to update their brand and vehicle wrap for their newly repaired food truck. The brief was to create a ‘Biggie Smalls’ themed truck and we obliged by illustrating a New York skyline accompanied with a profile of Biggie himself in the foreground. The client was thrilled with the result and the truck features in many insta-moments of punters posing at functions and events.

Acres Noosa Website Redesign

Our friends at The Alfresco Room referred us to marketing team at the Acres Noosa to assist with updating their website to promote the stores including Day Dream Furniture, Reminded Health Clinic, The Alfresco Room, Noosa Skin Studio, Forest Noosa, Acres Garden Centre and Zenko Yoga Noosa Studio. We created a simple and functional website that all tenants could access with their own logins to and update their photography, copy, contact details along with individual social media feeds.


Lallemand Australia Magniva Direct Mail

We’ve been working with Lallemand Australia for nearly 5 years and over that time we have develop creative for multiple media formats including print, digital and video. Our most recently completed project is for Lallemand’s newly released Magniva products. The Ageing Sea was engaged designed an intricate direct mail piece with a custom envelope and multiple individually designed inserts promoting the Magniva products and the various benefits along with the Lallemand brand.

Hungry Feels Eating House Website Design, Copywriting and Content Creation

Hungry Feel approached us to assist them with refreshing their existing website and social media content to raise awareness and update their online profile. We met with owners Chris and Larissa White to develop the brief and strategy to capture the Hungry Feel brand story. Firstly, we planned and produced two content shoots; one for photography and the other for videography, capture and showcase their hero dishes, local producers and the staff in action. We then created a new website highlighting their refreshed photography mixed with copywriting detailing their brand promise. To really showcase the Hungry Feel story we splashed hero videos across the page headers to bring the pages to life and showcase the dishes, ingredients and restaurant surroundings.


Generations Private Wealth Brand Identity

Our friends at Touchstone Private Wealth required a new business name and brand identity - Generations Private Wealth was submitted and lodged and The Ageing Sea was engaged to design a new identity and corporate stationery.


Whitbreads’ Cordials and Soft Drinks Brand Review, Photography, eCommerce Website, Copywriting and Social Media

Whitbreads Soft Drinks is an established business with a great local audience. Like a lot of regional businesses there is a high demand to move the business online to help increase sales and more importantly exposure and brand awareness. We sat down with the client to devise a plan of how to best tell the Whitbreads’ story, talk about their products and create a simple online ordering process. The Ageing Sea planned a trip to Charters Towers to capture Whitbreads’ home town and the local surroundings. We then translated their story online writing copy and building an ecommerce website to offer locals the opportunity to order their favourite flavours online. Since completing the website we have planned and produced their social media accounts telling the brand story and promoting online sales.


Soundtrails x Walgett Shire Council Promotional Collateral

The tourism team at Walgett Shire Council connected with The Ageing Sea to plan for the tourists season. We design, produced and delivered a suite of co-branded promotional products for their new Soundtrail which included post cards, posters and promotional flags.

Barlow Shelley Consulting Engineers Website Redesign

Barlow Shelley Consulting Engineers are an established engineering firm in Maroochydore who have planned many large construction projects on the Sunshine Coast. We were extremely excited when the local business approached us to assist with updating their website. We develop a creative brief with the client and swiftly planned and produced a photoshoot capturing the staff and their directors in a number of environments including their office and it’s surrounds and on-site at a local project. From there we wrote their website copy devised from extremely detailed brief (which every creative dreams of) and married the text with the visuals in a simple and contemporary website layout.


Solid Ground Roasters Packaging Designs

Continuing our partnership with Solid Ground Roasters we’ve recently completed label designs for their single origin beans, drinking chocolate and complimentary syrups.


UP Private Wealth Digital Marketing & Photography

With ongoing leads being generated from the website and blog content we recently planned and produced a photography shoot for Cesar and the team at UP Private Wealth for use on their social media accounts and blog content.


Custom Supplements New Product Brand Development

Custom Supplements reconnected with our agency to develop brand concepts for a new product they are developing and launching in the esports and gaming world early 2021. We develop a range of concepts for the client from the supplied brief and reference.


Sunstruct Project Management Brand Review

After recently rebranding the North Shore Boardriders Club fellow club sponsor Sunstruct Project Management recently approached us to assist with updating their brand and stationery. This project is still in progress but here’s a taste of what’s been created.

Coolum Accountants Brand Update, Website, Copywriting and Photography

Coolum Accountants are expanding and recently approached us to help with updating their brand due to a recent name change – we were engaged to update their brand identity and corporate stationery and will start production on their website, photography, copywriting and digital marketing in early 2021.


Alex Surf Brand Identity and T-Shirt

Long time sponsor of North Shore Boardriders, Alex Surf (Shop) approached the agency to help with developing an update to their existing brand identity and also to create a range of t-shirts for sale instore. Here is our favourite. Which colour to you like?
