Client Summary:

Immanuel Lutheran College is an independent, co-educational P–12 Lutheran school on the Sunshine Coast, offering Early Learning to Year 12 on a single 23-hectare rainforest campus in Buderim. Through strong academics, experiential learning and a Christ-centred, values-driven culture, the College helps students grow in confidence, curiosity and character, preparing them for diverse pathways beyond school.

Mission:

Immanuel Lutheran College engaged The Ageing Sea to direct and produce a new brand campaign to drive enrolments and scholarship applications. The brief was to plan, shoot and edit a cohesive suite of photography, film, animation and campaign artwork – including a 30 second commercial, website video content and a 2026 Strategic Vision film – that could integrate across digital and print while staying true to the College’s values and community spirit.

Outcome:

Midway through 2024 we planned and produced a two day, on campus shoot (stills, motion) to capture authentic student life across Primary and Secondary. We developed the script and storyboard for a 30 second brand commercial, cast a mix of students for five distinct voice overs and recorded live reads in a makeshift sound booth with support from the College Audio Visual team. Once engineered, we edited and layered the voices to create a textured, multi age narrative that sounds recognisably “Immanuel”.

In post production we partnered with videographer to refine the offline edit in line with the storyboard, script and timing, before compositing graphics and sound for final approval. Animator then applied a minimalist illustration treatment throughout the film, along with a professional end lockup featuring the campaign tagline. The result is a polished hero commercial that feels warm, contemporary and true to the College community, with flexible cutdowns for digital and social.

In parallel, our design team created a series of twelve student mosaic artworks for use across departmental collateral, plus staff mosaics supplied as finished assets and editable working files for the internal marketing and design team. 

The new creative was launched to staff with overwhelmingly positive feedback. As Director of College Development, Kylea Wilson described the response as “absolutely phenomenal,” noting that the refreshed branding made staff feel seen and understood, and set the College up for a strong year of rollout.

In June 2025 Immanuel re engaged The Ageing Sea to produce a Strategic Vision 2025–2029 video. We supported script refinement, recorded a voice over with the College Principal and cut existing and new footage to a simplified storyboard, before adding animation, motion graphics and a clear end lockup. Delivered ahead of the board meeting deadline, the film now provides a concise, shareable way to communicate Immanuel’s long term direction to staff, families and stakeholders.
