Mission:
Core Consultants engaged The Ageing Sea to lead a full rebrand that better reflected the scale, capability and ambition of the business. The brief was to clarify their market position, modernise the visual identity, and create a cohesive brand system that would support growth, recruitment and national tenders while remaining grounded, technical and trusted.

Outcome:
We began with a strategic brand discovery workshop, bringing together the Core Consultants directors and key team members to unpack their history, aspirations and pain points. Together we clarified their value proposition, audiences and competitive landscape, and defined a brand platform: Protect people and planet with every project. Using this foundation, we developed a new visual identity that balanced technical rigour with approachability.
At the heart of the system is the new Core icon. People focused plus environment. Ten green segments form a heritage inspired ‘C’ that symbolises collaboration and measured insight. The green spectrum signals growth and environmental awareness, while precise geometry reflects engineering discipline and the open form conveys clarity and trust.
We then built out a flexible design system for everyday use – from site memos and technical reports to tenders, presentations and on-site collateral – so busy engineers can apply the brand consistently without needing a design background. Streamlined templates, including updated report layouts and email signatures, now support faster, clearer communication and a more cohesive client experience.
An email announcement to valued customers introduced the new look and reiterated what is not changing: an employee owned team of local experts, ISO certified processes and the same accurate, plain English advice clients rely on. Finally, comprehensive brand guidelines, along with artwork for signage, vehicles and PPE, gave Core Consultants a cohesive, future ready identity that supports major bids, attracts new talent and reflects the quality of their work.
